I went to the NCM twice when I was stationed at Fort Campbell before I retired. I really wish I was still there to help out with this one...The folks at the NCM are super hospitable to folks in the military. When you go there and show your Military ID you get in free or at least you used to be able too.. It has been a few years since I was there last. I hope you get enough volunteers for this one.... Good Luck!

I hope more volunteer. My son is at Fort Campbell in the 160th SOAR (the President shook my son's hand after the 160th flew the SEALs and Delta opoerators to Pakistan to kill bin Laden). He confirms that the GIs always appreciate the support we give for things like this.
Darn it! I was waiting for another opportunity to do this but grandbaby number nine is due Nov. 1. Wife and daughter would be REALLY mad. Hopefully next opportunity will come soon. God bless all our warriors and keep them safe.
I really enjoyed participating in the spring run from Ft Campbell to the NCM and back. Running 90+ down US 68 with the Trooper only 3 Cars back was the coolest thing I had done with the Vette to date! I'll have to check the calendar.

That was a blast for sure! Note that its not going to be the same again this time. The soldiers are coming to the NCM by the base's transportation. We are giving them a ride in the country. Now if the KHP wishes to give us a fun time again, cool. I know the KHP enjoyed it too.
Then there was the guy in the ZR1, 3 cars in front of me who got the fun of going around a right turn next to a KHP officer. Both hit the gas...The ZR1 left him behind in a hurry. When we got back down to Fort Campbell following this little extra bit of fun, I told the ZR1 owner that it was so cool that he got to do that and it was a once in a lifetime chance to race the highway patrol...and WIN! He was smiling for sure.
The November event will be #2 for this year. We heard talk they may do this each year in conjunction with the Vets and Vettes Event. Maybe the NCM can comment more.

I will have to check when i get back. I seem to miss the events every time one comes up. Hopefully I can get to the next one. I am only about an hour and a half away from the Museum so it isn't too bad of a drive at all.
