if that isnt expensive to you, ill gladly take some of your money.

Well after:
$1k+ for corbeau A4's
$4k for a Harrop ITB
$4.8k for widebody
$500 for roll bar hoops
$1k for Z06 trans
$4.8k for twin turbo kit, plus about $400 in other materials

So after spending like that, it just seems small
Now to find my gun

Wait what? Dude I'm saying after a while spending big amounts no it doesn't seem like much, that's all and no I don't think a 12 year old could put on a TT system

Btw I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I was just trying to illustrate how modding can cost alllloottt very fast. Trust me by no means is what I spent a lot to some of the guys here, hell I was reading a thread were guys bought their new ZR1's with cash!!!. But IMO and what ive spent, the things you want to get track ready arnt (to me) THAT expensive.. I agree with TR6speed 100%, shocks now. And I would do C6Z51 sways if your not going to go with huge wheel widths.

Do the shocks 1st and the links. Make sure you have new brake pads. Since you are in Plymouth do you plan on running Road America?
Try to run a Badger State BMW event, they know how to run a 1st class event

Yeah, I'll be going to Road America.

im not sure who I'll go with...i heard good things about midwest f body. and of course gt track days are pro vette. It seems like the porsche guys are aholes. audi guys are nice, and bmw guys are 50/50.

I just want to go out and have fun. not be treated like crap or "not good enough"

lol. tell me about it. But I always thought it would be scary as hell road racing because the car is so much bigger than a bike. But now that I plan on doing it, Im looking forward to the learning experience.

I still have all my leathers and stuff if i want to get back into it with a bike.
I also saw that the bmw group allows M helmets. that would save me some money.

If you replace the shocks on f45 system you have to get simulators

I have to look and see where I purchased mine from but I know I paid 200 for the simulators. I've read several methods about cutting and splicing wires with a resistor I think but the simulators are pretty much plug and play. Without them your speed will be limited to 80mph

Probably resistors, search the tech section for it. I did see some simulators were for sale too actually. I think Stonebones had them.

Wear your leathers in the car, open the door and stick your knee out while in the corner...that'll freak them out

While sways would obviously help performance, I would think the stocks work okay for now.
whereas replacing worn out crappy shocks would make just as big of an impact. in both ride quality, and "performance"

Don't let anyone scare you about the ride getting harder, etc. That's what I had heard too. I got Bilisten Sport shocks + Hotchikis sway bars - adjusted to the max harshness. YET! the ride is smoother than the stock... So, I don't know what everyone talks about. Car is much flatter in turns, sticks better, and the ride is more smooth, with cushion... I'd say, just do it!
