USAA quoted me $600/ 6 months on an '02 Z06 to be insured in San Diego, CA. I take delivery June 27 and will be living near New Orleans by that time. Long story short, for no better reason than a location change my new quote is now $1700/ 6 months. Does this seem criminally wrong to anyone else? Appreciate any insight into Z friendly insurers. :mad :bs
What!?! That's the most ridiculous quote I've ever heard. Either the company that quoted you are complete theives or you have the worst driving record of all time. My advise, SHOP AROUND!
If you think the auto rate increase was bad, wait until you see your new homeowners rates! Most companies are raising rates because of significant underwriting losses last year.
I don't know. USAA IS the best insurance company according to Fortune Magazine.... I have had nothing but the best of luck with them. I have two cars and mine is $1500/6 months. PErfect driving record....just one thing, I'm a 23 year old college student in a college town. (Lubbock has a VERY high DWI rate). Shop around and then talk to the agent after you get some prices. I love USAA. SOme others on the forum have reported drops, like in half, after 6 months. I think that's what happened to quietgirl on the forum. Good luck!!
