Default Put some bling on the Vert:)

Got a wild hair to add some chrome letters and sill and steering wheel decals. My favorites are the decals for the sills. Really like the way they add something to the straight black. I read all the problems guys were having with the solid letters, so I went with the decals there also. There just ok, nothing bad, but nothing great to say about them. Kind of a pain in the butt to put on but here they are. I put a decal on the steering wheel also but that's my least favorite. Kind of think it looks a little cheap. May just eat the $26 bucks. What do you guys think, here's some pictures.

Have never been a fan of the overlays for the embossed exterior areas or the steering wheel decals, but I must say the sill decals look .

Not a fan of stick on decals, especially the raised 3d vinyl type. I find it cheapens the car's look. Just my two cents. Sorry.

To see one in person is better than any picture can show. The raised "Domed" emblems from forum vendor Vette Works Intl look like it is factory installed - my pic doesn't do it justice on my 2003 but folks that see it all think it is a factory badge.

The only one I'm not loving is the steering wheel emblem. maybe in person it looks better. The one on the sill looks awesome.

I could never explain how great my 50th. Anniversary coupe looks with gold letter on the dash, and the 50th Anniversary crest on the streeing wheel & sills. It truly looks like it came from Bowling green this way. I used 3M #4298 adhesive promoter to treat the area under the adhesive on the graphic's.

Looking good! Does anyone make real chrome or SS letters for the passenger air bag? All I have seem are those cheap vinyl letters?

I've been looking for those as well. I really like the rounded edge SS letters I have from MA and would like to have something similar on the airbag. They look OEM.

z76232-I think the lettering in the after pic of the front definitely looks much better. I wish you had posted a before and after pic of the rear lettering as well. The sill emblems look great.

I stopped by WCC a few months ago and purchased their Polished SS letter inserts for the rear and steering wheel emblem but haven't put them on yet. I'm still not sure if I prefer the subtle look of the indented lettering on the rear or whether I'm going to like the more pronounced look with the SS lettering. Their steering wheel emblem is the cheep kind, so I'm going to order the one from Vett Works.

My son talked me into purchasing them and in his opinion they will look good, but I'm just not sure. I have only seen one in person on a car, but they were little off and didn't truly represent.

I love how my SS letters look against my Medium Spiral Gray. However, as again made clear in this thread, it's each person's personal taste and $$$ that matters. The great news about this mod is that if you do not like them, you can remove them.

It was an after thought to take the pictures or I would have taken one of the rear first. I have the same thoughts as most of you, I love the door sills(they are the raised 3M type) like the letters and don't really like the steering wheel. I'm probably just going to eat that one and pull it off, $26 buck won't kill me but I hate wasting money now that I'm retired.

I think they look great. I just bought yellow emblems for the door sill, airbag, and steering wheel from Vette Works when I was at Carlisle. I put the yellow emblem up to the steering wheel and didn't like all that yellow. I ended up returning it for a black emblem. I installed everything once I got home except the steering wheel. The door sills look like factory until you see the glare of the clear inbetween that decal. That is my only complaint about them. I like how Cyberdine had the clear missing in the middle, but heard there were fitment and business issues. I tried cutting out the clear on the black emblem, but was not sucessful. It had some fringes on it from not so clean cuts. When looking at it from a top view, the clear sides/edges didn't look factory. If I painted the sides/edges, it might look better. I ended up buying a black emblem without the clear in the emblem from Cyberdine, but haven't received it yet.
