I've got the raptor shift light mounted on the dash near the a pillar, right at the seam where the dash meets the front of the a pillar. Works great. You could hide it in a a/c vent or something or mount it into the a pillar probably if you want to go to that extra trouble for a more seamless install. I think it works well where I have it though and still pretty inconspicuous.

I had a yellow raptor light when I owned my mustang. It is small enough and packs plenty of brightness. It also has dials where you can adjust your shift rpm with ease. I had a few friends that even stuffed them down the a/c vents of their f-bodies. I recommend the product. A shift light is a great tool.

Default shift light

I have mine about eye level on the left pillar. It is out of sight from pretty much anyone outside. I needed it as I have found as I get older my reflexes get slower and the LS6 revs friggin faster than I can think!
I still hit the limiter from time to time when I get excited!
