OK, been wanting to buy maybe equis 3160 or an actron code reader for a while now, ans I have a headlights not going up problem with my 01 coupe now.oes anyone here know if these types of scanners can get info from the car about these kinds of problems, or are they only good for engine type problems
The c-5 repair manual mentions hooking up a scan tool to read the codes for this, but maybe therye talking about a more complex scanner that a dealer would have. Could anyone here fill me in on this? Than you

Thank you, I did that, worked great. Now I have some codes, I found some in my c-5 manuel, but is there a list of all the codes for my car somewhere. My manuel dosen't seem to have them all, unless maybe I didn't look hard enough. And I had to jump around from book to book

ODBII codes are universal, with some manufacturer specific ones in there.
Do a google search and you'll find many lists that tell you what they mean.
But headlights won't show up in a code list like that. The C5 has codes for various systems like engine, trans, hvac, radio, etc.
