Yea that $5000 Grand is a bit high, lol! That sentence was a casuality of me not finishing my first cup of coffee! I'm sure that the bucks are well deserved for a system like that, where micro-seconds are the difference between 1st and 2nd! But not needed for the street.
Rick,

$5,000.00 is for PFADT's "featherLight-Generation" double-adjustable coilovers. These are Le Mans grade components bro. The street friendly PFADT Johnny O'connell shocks are only $550.00 & the PFADT single-adjustable inverted sport shocks are $790.00. The double adjustable, remote reservoir, featherlight PFADT coilovers are some of the absolute best money can buy. Putting them on a street car that never saw the track would be a complete retard move. Honestly, if your car is street only you should probably just go with some 2011 C6Z shocks from Gene @ GM Parts House and call it a day.

PFADT's brand new single-adjustable, inverted "FeatherLight" coilovers (which are way more comparable to LG's GT2 single-adjustable, non-inverted units) go for $1,990.00 directly from PFADT. Some vendors sell them for considerably less.

Top of the line systems are expensive. Glad I don't do any road racing events.

Yeah I am a bit shocked with Corvette Coil-Overs as well. Pedders makes their Xa coil-over for a bunch of cars, and I got mine for a SRT8 Charger for $1000. They are some really advanced coil-overs too. So I have no idea why they cost vastly more on a Vette. The Pedders even had adjustment extenders so you could dial them in from inside the trunk of the car. Very slick package.

Wow! My Pfadt c/o setup was only like $2200. That being said my c/o's paired with a good set of non run-craps was the best mod I have done to my C5.

Still confused why they even cost that much when I could get them for my last car for less than half that price...

Considering vette owners are able to afford a car of that price(generally that is)

There's a higher paid clientele to sell these to hence, a good move to make money.

Heck maybe we'll see how Dennis's Strange coilovers do at only $1500 shipped

I looked at it from the other direction. I needed to replace my MSR shocks. "Shock" was the operative word when I found out they were $3200!!!!! I opted for the fully adjustable Pfadt c/overs and they were only $1800.

Yeah, those flames were the first thing that caught my eye. I want it back, by the way. It's hard driving my 'Vette with one eye.

We are very familiar with the Pedders line as well. They are a player in the Camaro market in which we also have a coilover product. Pfadt Race Engineering is actually an engineering firm, which means we design, test, market, and sell all of our own parts. Our Corvette coilovers are 100% manufactured in North America. We specialize in producing custom, top of the line parts for the only 2 platforms we build parts for, not just parts that fit. Our owner Aaron Pfadt is the winner of a NASA National Championship, and we know what works on both the street and track. Our damper curves and spring rates are custom designed for every different shock package we build for both Corvette and Camaro. We do not simply rebrand another company's product and change the colors which is popular and drastically cheaper to do.

As an example of our commitment to designing custom solutions for your Corvette, take a look at our BOA upper mounting system for the Corvette Coilovers. An idea taken directly from its much more expensive bigger brother, the Feather Light Generation DA; the new BOA mount is a no-compromises solution to Corvette shock upper mounts. Our mount is a zero-maintenance, completely sealed design that allows the FULL articulation required for the Corvette suspension. A common problem in coilover mounting for the Corvette is how to effectively mount the upper shock to the chassis without losing much shock travel and articulation. Common solutions are a clevis design that severely limits shock travel and will effect ride quality, and a “pin top” design that relies on compliance in consumable rubber bushings to deflect and bind the shock, creating an unsealed mount needing eventual replacement. The BOA MOUNT suffers none of these shortcomings as it is a solid mount similar to a control arm ball joint (quiet, durable, maintenance free), that is locked in place and then articulates with the suspension utilizing a low friction internal monoball that is sealed from the exterior elements. On top of all of this, the installation procedure could not be any easier. A simple easy to torque washer and nut retain the whole assembly. Take a look at the video to see the BOA mount in action.

That's just one small example of the kind of engineering you won't see implemented in lower cost coilovers. We believe our quality is clearly above the competition. There certainly is room in the market place for an entry level coilover... but we strongly believe in delivering a quality and feature rich product to our customers, and it comes at a slightly higher price point.

We do offer products that run the gamut from entry level replacement dampers in the Johnny O'Connell Signature Suspension line:

Adjustable dampers with our Inverted Sport Shocks:

Of course our FeatherLight Single adjustable coilover package:

And culminating in our flagship Double Adjustable Coilover package which brings GT level damping to the public, and our customers on the Podium.

We have a suspension package to fit every need and budget, if you have any questions please feel free to give us a call at 1-888-972-2464, PM us, or shoot an email over to info@pfadtracing.com .
