If you mean where is it on the dash Nodima is correct. It is like the radio tuning ****, push it in and it pops out to adjust and then push it back in. If you mean where to get a replacement I would suggest the dealer.
Any tips out there as to where one might look for a **** for the dash light dimmer on a C5?
thanks,
Obie
Appreciate the feedback and yes, the **** for my switch is missing so I'm trying to chase down a replacement. Don't like going to the dealer but that will be the next stop. Thanks.
there are several corvette only salvage yards (a google search will turn them up) if you want to spend a bit of time making a couple of calls before you visit the dealer. you never know what they may or may not have. several specialize in newer wrecks.

Thanks, I will do that. Just found that this part has been discontinued and is not available from the dealer.

try "just corvettes" out in missouri or "sutton automotive" in nebraska. there are others, but i have had some pretty good luck with both of these (with parts for my C3, but they are all years salvage yards, ) your profile doesn't have your location. perhaps one of these is in your backyard. good luck
Sounds like you are in the same boat I am.
I am missing the HUD brightness control ****, can't find it anywhere because used parts places want to sell the whole HUD control unit and so does GM.
You can't just buy the **** at the dealer, you have to buy the whole control unit for $125.00
As a follow-up to an old thread ... go to Radio Shack and purchase item # 274-403 - 1/2" Control ***** (2) - for $2.99, then grind a relief on the raised section to allow it to be retracted into the dash. Use a Sharpie to color the cap black instead of blue.
There are also used units on eBay for sale. You could buy one and just remove the ****. The Radio Shack approach would be much cheaper if you didn't want an exact replacement.
