its about 4.5k to pull the engine take it apart put new bearings etc etc in it,turn and polish the crank machine shop work reassemble the engine and install it all back in the car including the supercharger. the rest is on me to get together for a upgraded trans and rear and install which totals close to 9k

I'd go with a new short block, forget the old. We all can help ya put the new setup in. Then the trans talk to Rick @ RKT-56.com and he'll hook you up with a built up trans

thanx everyone for the kind words i know there are a ton of great people on this forum and have met and talked to and became friends with many here since joining this forum 6 years ago this 1 person seems to be a good guy in general but from what i believe in my opinion got in over his head with my car and wouldnt say so which he should have which would have cost me alot less in repairs on the car. I also believe he is totally responsible for the damages however and should cover them for not speaking up saying hey i dont know what the hell i am doing but he didnt and by him getting a lawyer im gussing he is denying it is his fault which is bs as he is the 1 who did all the work!!! the car ran and drove over to his house to start this project 9 months ago and now is inop!!

Again thanx everyone for wanting to help me with my car but the reason i drove it to the forum members house for him to do the install is several reasons

1. he said he could do it
2.he had a garage to do it in
3. it was way to big of a project for me to tackle as i have no problem saying i could never do it myself
4. i have a gravel driveway that if i could do the swap it would be a nightmare to try and tackle in a gravel driveway out in the elements

So i have it at mayhem getting it done as i have no other options as i dont have the knowledge or the place to do the work

i am hoping to recoupe some of the money lost in this whole ordeal.... i am going to small claims court which max allowed is 5k and i figure i am about 7k over the original build in damages and extra labor so i will be taking a 2k hit if found in my favor which eating 2k compared to 7k extra over the original price of the engine and original labor isnt as bad.

timing set installed with the gears installed 3 teeth off which resulted in bent/broken valves from piston to valve contact

upper timing gear bearing installed backwards/adjustment tooth not installed

multiple damaged supercharger bracket threads requiring helicoils or repair

oil pan gasket installed with excessive silicone leading to blocked off oil passages
significant engine bearing material in oil pan/pickup tube /engine block passages

and they still never got to the alky control to figure out what he did to it why it isnt working etc etc and basically if 1 thing didnt destroy the engine another would have like a minefield

Getting a Judgement and collecting on a judgement are TWO entirely different processes, it will cost you even more and more and more. Eating at you, let loose of trying to get that money back.

If he loses his lawyer will get his first, then you will stand in line for many many years. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but you have to start to mentally move past the money part, stand firm for what you feel is right by all means, and if someday you get something back then consider it karma coming back to you.

Good-luck and get the car back together at the lowest cost to you, so you have something to enjoy, take up the multiple good will offers it's going to be cheaper for you in the long run, to drop something new and move on past it. Cheaper in your thoughts and health and cheaper on your pocket book

Good Luck !
