Recently aquired my first Corvette and want to learn how to maintain it myself.
I am mechanically inclined with some rebuilding skill - but my rebuilds date to the 60's and 70's.
Reading through all of the threads here are extremely helpful but I want a quality service manual.
Is the Helm manual a good one? Or the manual available from the store on line here?
Probably will not be doing any rebuilding for a while but learning proper maintainance, diagnostics, and parts/component replacement are important for starters.
Any recomendations would be appreciated.

Get a set of the factory service manuals - you'll see them for sale every now and then (I'd recommend a set for your year car), or you can buy them new from Gene at gmpartshouse.com.
i bought the digital service manual off of ebay for like 30 bucks. its on my laptop and so far I cant find a difference between it and the paper one other than it is a lot easier to look up the section I need on the computer.

Same here, and if I need a page to have handy to look at while I am working I just print out the needed page. Very handy!
