Fluke or trouble a brewin'

While slowly accelerating in first gear from a stop light today it popped out of gear I immediately put back in first with no problem. I hit three more lights on the way home and ran through all the gears with no problem. Other than this one time i have never had a problem, always shifts smooth. Anything to worry about or just a fluke thing? 99FRC W/68,000 miles.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.

You might of not had it in all the way, Just keep an eye on it.

Thats what I thought too. Just hasn't happened before. I've only owned this FRC for a couple of months though so just wondering

Mine has done it a couple times while I was getting used to the car. It was definitely user error, 1st gear needs to be bullied in a little bit more than the other gears I've noticed.

It happened to me one time when I was still learning to drive stick. It was a very scary and unsettling noise and feel too when it popped out! Just make sure you are ALL the way up there in 1st.

I get reallt pissed off at myself when I let that happen every once in a while. I have a Ripper shifter,,,whenever it flies out of first,,,,it is MY FAULT! for not locking it in, in the first place!
