Default Fuel door help

I just bought a 00 frc and the fuel door button in the center console doesn't seem to work. I can still open it through the trunk so I assume it's something wrong with the button itself.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

Pretty sure that's what I did when replacing the radio recently. Haven't had time to tear the console apart again to verify.

However, there is a manual pull release in the trunk.
