Default my DIY sleepy eye mod ..adjustable

the start of it so far is done. i have wired my headlights up to a reverse polarity switch that i can ajust the headlights in any position i desire, the headlights are controlled to turn on and off factory like any other corvette i an just able to change the height with a rocker switch.

the wires at each headlight are plug and play and can simply be put back to stock by simply plugging 2 wires together if you do not want to be able to adjust your headlights.

using a rocker switch is very nice to achieve the sleepy look but the action is kinda fast.. so my plan is to add a power width modulator to slow the current down so they will move slowly to get the exact position i would need.... i plan to remove the headlight hosing and put small headlights in as you would see from other aftermarket systems, although i would like to mount them as high as possible to get them to sit really low..as of now i adjusted the housing verticaly as high as possible..

anyhow im not sure where this is going but i want the sleepy look without the cost..

why would you do this with stock headlights?

you've gone with the stock light output from just being bad to seriously dangerous.

if you want to do this mod you should look into doing it with the projectors that are being developed for this very purpose.

because now the housings are being aimed into the dirt instead of the stock height.

do you have a pic of the bulbs turned on?

LOOK if you had read the post before being rude this is the START of my own sleepy eye mod... part 1 is to get the damn things to go up and down in a way that can be easily turned back to stock. my way is to put it on a rocker switch.
so part 2 would be to put aftermarket headlights in to utilize the adjustablilty for sleepy eyes..

yes i adjusted them up verticly as much as possible. with high beams on i can lower them 2" with the same visablitly around town i can go lower cuz of all the streetlights as before it needs aftermarket lights for full benefit...

like i said being on a rocker switch they can go open to closed just like stock and i can stop them anywhere by releasing the rockerswitch like your windows work up and down

I think the ACA bulbs sit too low in the housing for the "sleepy" look...

Interesting idea OP. Are you going to attempt to wire the switch to a preset height once you get the projectors installed? What are you planning to do for a shroud or are you going to leave the projectors exposed?

I have no explaination for why I like the look of that, but I do!

Let us know how you did it. Just interupt the voltage before they finished raising all the way up or is there a repetative position they'll stop in?

Wow, You are the one being rude, I didn't see anything where he was being rude, All he did was ask a question which I was getting ready to ask the same thing.

Nice work so far. I don't really care for the sleepy eye look, but sounds like you are on your way to your mod and saving $$$$s in the process.

Makes the car look broken. One of the reasons a lot of people like the C5 is the pop-ups, I spent a lot of time on my C3 fixing hacks like this (that really didn't work too well and were a pain to troubleshoot).
