There are a couple of possibilities. Pull your codes from the DIC and post them as this will show if there's an actuator issue or not. After that, clear the codes if any from the HVAC and this will cause the system to recalibrate. If your HVAC operation comes back to normal, you are done. If not, pull the codes again and see if any HVAC codes came back. Please post those results. Another real possibility is that you are low on refrigerant but do the codes first. Lastly, do any of the other modes for air direction work? Is this a manual or Dual Zone automatic HVAC?

Sounds like you are going to find a right side actuator code. If you get cold air on the driver's side, but only hot on the passenger side, the actuator on the right hand side has or is failing and adding refrigerant won't help.
