I finally gave in and updated my ’04 Commemorative Edition. Had 42,280 miles on it and still on the original Goodyear runflats. The inside edge of the fronts wore out, got down to the cord. Rears still have some tread, but not much.
I debated and debated which runflat to go with (non-runflats were not an option). Came very close to going back with the GYs but I liked the looks of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Price was good so I went with them even though I could not find any specs on them as to how far they could go with zero pressure and still be repaired (GY is 50 miles and still be repaired, but can go up to a total of 200 to get you home).
I also replaced the front brake rotors and pads.
Drives/rides like a new car. So far I am very happy with the Michelins. Now to see what they are like over time.
They are junk. They ride rough, they are loud, they handle like garbage compared to many performance tires, the best mod a person can do to their car is to dump their goodyears for something else.
Quite literally 2 hours ago I dropped my GY Runflats for a non-RF and can honestly the noise is GONE! I went with Hankooks and with only 10 miles on them I can not comment otherwise!
It's the same as the Eagle F1 EMT, 50 miles under 55 mph and it can be repaired if run on zero pressure. Exceeding those values requires replacing the tire. (Of course in many cases if you get a low pressure warning there are gas stations frequent enough to keep stopping and adding air to get you to a tire dealer who will repair them. So often you don't need to run on zero pressure.)
The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP are not as wide, and that is noticeable from the rear.
That's was pretty good to get 42K on a set of EMT MP (maximum performance) tires. The Michelins have a 45K warranty, so if they go early be sure to press the warranty and get an adjustment when they get replaced.

Driving Vettes for some time now, Gy run flats handle horrible.
It was like a new Vette after I got rid of the run flats.

tom...
I'm also tired of these runflats... let us know how these run over time. I would definitely wanna change my F1's. They are way too noise and don't stick at all in corners....
I also replaced my GY F1's with the Michelin's sport 2. I had 21,000 on the GY when I made the change the GY's front were shot the cords were showing on the inside of the tires. I had know ideal how much road noise was coming from the tires, I could hardly here the radio with some noise also coming from the ti exhaust. Anyway with 4 new Michelin's, 4 wheel alinement and balancing done, I hopped in the hot rod and headed for home the first thought was who's car is this. It was so different it felt new plus I could hear the radio, Now as far as tire wear go's, I am getting another set of rear tires on next week,(Michelin sport 2) I got 14,000 out of the rear's, they down into the wear bars. The front are in good shape and are wearing very evenly. I feel that the four wheel alinement had a lot to do with the tires wearing even. As far as the rear wearing out sooner than the front was do to having fun at the Brainard Dragway in MN.

The Michelin's Pilot Sports PS/2 ZP are a perfect tire for a street driven C5 corvette., Cheap and handle like no get out. But it's a shame you didn't splurge and get a fresh set of tire air pressure monitors ? It'a been the smart thing to do sine the originals are close to 10 years old. The batteries can't last much longer.

I don't have tire pressure monitors, I have an 04 z06 the Z16 package. Lots of fun, sad part is winter will be setting in soon and will be time to put in the little hot rod next to the fire place and hope Santa brings it something nice.
