I have a 1998 C5 daily driver with over 150,000 miles that runs great. There is one peculiar thing that has developed over the last three years. Every fall, around October 1st or so, the seat beat light in the instrument panel won't go off when the beat is buckled. After the winter storage period, I'll start it up and the light will be off. It will work normally until the following October. I know this sounds crazy, but it's been going on for the last three years. It's very annoying. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the ambient temperature because it hasn't really gotten cold yet and the switch seems to work when I activate it with screwdriver. It just doesn't work with the seat belt buckled. I'm not stoned or nothing like that and I really wonder what is going on. Figure that one out.
