Well after being in the shop two weeks and waiting to find out if the SC it's covered. Found out today that the warranty won't be honored , the unit was dry and didn't have any oil in it. Don't know how it leaked or when it leaked, I don't even dog my car or hit it real hard. So barely 8 months old and having to replace the head unit and enter cooler, this bites! Hopefully to have it running soon, L8R ZFLASH

Are they shipped with oil in them?
Who installed it, They should of checked it.
If it leaked out there would be signs I would think.
Sorry about your SC.
Mr.Bill
awful...do the self-contained units have a dipstick or level window?
Thanks for every ones input, the unit is only 8 months into a 1 year warranty. It was a Vorteck head unit, and no it doesn't come with a dipstick or oil level window that I could find. I even went onto theirs and A&A's website looking to see how to check the oil, didn't find any help there. That's the frustrating part, how are we, as SC owners with little knowledge avoid this issue in the future? I didn't mind buying, but I don't won't to go through this again. Thanks again guys, L8R ZFLASH

I still feel your pain, on the Prochargers they have a dip stick to check the oil level -
I am thinking if yours is missing one then it should be on Vortech -
If it is fed off the engine oil then make sure all the lines are flowing with no clogs before the next one -
This really sucks and I wish I could help, keep us informed

That is so strange! You would think the morons that sell these would warn you or at least provide a dipstick or something. It's always the simple things that get overlooked...best of luck getting out of this one without a scratch...
