It's just my opinion...but I really dislike this a lot. The 911 tragedy is best commemorated in our hearts, minds, and perhaps granite monuments that will be readable in 2000 years. Decorating a discretionary consumer good....a "toy"......with scenes from the disaster....just leaves me cold.
I have no lack of patriotism or empathy for all concerned in the event. I just don't think it belongs on a car.
ps. And I just now noticed that, IMO, extraordinarily stupid "jake" emblem. You want to have a 911 commemorative car that's one thing....mixing that theme with such a silly foolish juvenile symbol like that didn't leave me cold it makes me ill.
Now hate away all you want. A person is entitled to his opinion. I think if a person was personally involved in 911 or had relatives injured or killed they maybe have a right to decorate a car with the event.....but for most of us not directly involved I don't think so. I feel the same about military themes....fighter jets, helicopters, aircrft carriers, tanks, rank insignia, unit/group flags etc etc etc.....if a person served I would say let em decorate with this stuff all they want....but, if a person didn't serve then I don't see the right to "borrow" the glory and put it all over their car.
