I've been getting prices for a few weeks going to Florida from Michigan and there is heavy demand now.

Should be a lot of empty space going North.

I've found prices up 1/3 from a year ago. Paid $850 open from Naples to Youngs Transport in April, service was ok, got a couple minor scratches neither enough to re paint a panel. Have a dealer friend here who recommends calling a broker but I'm not that brave.

I looked into having mine shipped from FL to NC, but decided to fly down and drive it back. Cheapest option if you can do it.

i had passport transport ship my C3 and 68 mustang from san antonio texas to cocoa beach fl. totally enclosed trailer. i like them because the driver is liable for any damage that ocurrs during the shipment, they give you the GPS tracking info so you can get real time info on where your cars are. they cannot drive off of the asphault to pick up or drop off, and they are a main shipper for barret jackson. when he opened up the trailer my cars were worth the least of anything on it. I counted 4 Ferrari's, a lambo, and a a few i couldnt identify. He took his time unloading and once each car was down he went over every square inch of the car to show me that it was in the same shape it was when he picked it up.

I recommend Plycar Transportation. They have locations in IL and FL. Here is a link: http://plycargroup.com/contactus.html

I used them to ship a previous Corvette of mine that I sold to a Forum member located in CA. They were very professional and took excellent care handling the car. They arrived at my house with a brand new enclosed trailer. The buyer was very pleased with their service and their price.
