Default Need help reassembling Corvette (Need Pictures!)

Well i've been searching around and perhaps i'm not looking well enough but here is the story.....

I purchased a 2002 Corvette Z06 that had light front end damage. The entire drivetrain was removed and all of the wiring was left in the car intact. Unfortunately the entire drivetrain was removed by the body shop it was at and was not returned to me....but that's another story.....

So i've managed to get the entire engine and everything with it installed back into the car for now and am in the process of running the wiring. I've gotten most things figured out but there are still some wires that i'm having trouble finding a home for.

What I am asking is if anyone happens to have taken photographs while tearing their car down so that I could see where most the wiring runs and where they hook to in the engine compartment. Also since the Wheelhouses are not currently attached to the car basically any photographs of the underhood of the car will help me. I have a ton of parts that were removed, and since I did not remove them I am a little lost on where they go.

Thank you very much for any assistance!

You need to get a helms factory service manual... There are way to many electronics on this car to guess where stuff goes. Also, PM a mod and get them to move this to C5Tech

What specifically do you need pictures of? I'm going to be dropping my drivetrain this weekend and, I'll be in a hurry, but I might be able to help you out.

Well I honestly have most wiring hooked up there is just some random wiring that i'm trying to run. Most of the wiring seems to hang in just the right spot. I do have 2 wires, one coming from the positive and one off of the negative that I am unsure of where they go that would help alot. I think the one large positive connects to the starter and does the large wire off the negative connect to the block?

I'm at the point where I did something a little stupid. I should have tested the starter on the motor before installing it but I did not think of it. Now I dropped in and installed the passenger side long tube and it looks like it would be a nightmare to remove if the starter were bad so I'd like to hook the wires up and see if it turns the motor over before putting the rest of the parts on.

Also yes if this could be moved to tech I would appreciate it....I was looking through Tech and thought I made the thread there...oops....

I will see if I can find a manual to look through. Thanks for the tip. I also might have access to Alldata but not sure yet.

I wish I knew of some people with C5's but don't know anybody to go check out their cars.

Any pictures at all would be helpful. I'm trying to route everything properly and hook it all up just like from the factory. So far it's looking good but i've got a ways to go. Specifically the area of the battery and wire routing plus anything really on the driver side.

I'm still looking through threads, hoping to find someone that took some good tear down photos.

Thanks

If you look through some Bill Curlee's posts, especialy one dealing with starter or ground issues, you will probably find a shot of what you need. He has posted many pictures of the engine compartment.

See post 51 in this thread for starter wiring

Excellent that helps! Both wires in the same picture, and they go where I figured. Thanks for the help
