Guys:
I'm thinking about installing a blackwing, airbridge, ported throttle body and removing the MAF airscreen. From what I hear, the '02s don't have a MAF screen and GM had to do a program tweak to compensate for it. The best thing for me to do is go to the dealership and download the '02 program. Has anyone ever done this? Any downfalls? How do you go about doing this? What SPECIFICALLY do you ask for? I don't want them to F**K THIS up!!! Thanks!!
Glenn
Obviously GM saw some horsepower gain in removing the MAF and calibrating the computer to this different airflow through it. If I do the same...remove the screen that is, shouldn't I have the programming that is optimized for that configuration?
TTZ, I would save your $$$ and forget the ported TB,
You car's PCM will re-learn the new increased air flow....and adjust for it....
No real need to remove the screen..the gain in MHO is not worth the work.....
'02's have a different TB altogether.......
Just add the Intake & go from there.......
