My wife and I have a 01 Honda CRV daily driver. Over the 10 years we've owned the CRV, I know any quick defensive, or evasive measures on the road require 3/4 floorboard press of the CRV's accelerator pedal.
Last Sat. my wife and I were in our 02 Vert (our sunny day driver) and I had to make one of those quick evasive moves. Without much thought, in an instance reaction, I put my foot in the Vert's accelerator thinking in terms of CRV, I accidentally slammed my wifes head into the passenger window! I can't recall exactly what my calm, cool, and collected wife said, but it was something like OUCH...
My first thought was WHOOOA, but what came out of my mouth was "sorry honey!".
I suspect other CF readers have been surprised a time or two over unexpected torque as I continually am.

What a good way to bang your head!!!! I hope you don't let your wife drive the Vette.

The only whoopsie I had was when the Active Handling wasn't working due to EBCM problem. I was in left lane, needed to take right offramp. Plenty of time, but I gunned it to get over. All of a sudden the car was sideways and I was staring right at the guardrail. I still have no idea how I pulled out of that.
AH isn't a feature, it's a necessity in these cars. I couldn't imagine daily driving without it now that the car is supercharged.
"Didn't realize a stock Ls1 had enough umph to do that.." justin, take a little drive down to sea level, like S. Calif and the "umph" will shock you. Mine will get crazy here in Texas but that bit of extra HP at sea level makes it really go crazy. By the way my wife love it!! She tells me to "DO IT!". but i've never slammed her head into the window either. LOL just kidding.

Psstt... Take a look at my profile... And take a look at my signature.
My wife had one of those plastic clips in her long hair in the back....you know, to keep the hair off her neck on a very hot day? Well, I just purchased the Vette and wasn't familiar with the response and hammered it pinning my wife's head against the back of the seat digging the clip into her scalp. I heard a scream and thought....wtf? I asked her to describe the feeling....she said like riding a roller coaster (without the head pain)....hmmmm
