I'm just trying to give you accurate facts and details based on years of experience in this field. My own experience in trying to use China as a source for cores was not good. The quality was poor and they would often fail within 2-3 years.
I might be missing something here since I did not bother to read every response but are you saying that there are Dewitt radiators running out there with Chinese cores in them? The 2 to 3 year test period, was it an internal test or a customer return base result? Personally I try to buy American, but when the price difference becomes as great as in this case I have to question my reasoning and try to make wise business decision as it applied to me personally. As in anything price is driven by demand and competition and if someone can build a similar mouse trap for less, well we all know what happens. I'm just wondering if the Dewitt I purchased in 01 has a Chinese core in it.

Regardless of his findings, he is not going to convince me that his is $300 better, unless there is Gold in his!

If after 2 years this one craps out, I'll buy another one and still not spend as much for 1 of his! I put 2-3k miles on my car a year, so this should last 10 years

I try to buy American also, but in this case, I'm going to keep my $300 and take my wife out on the town for Champagne and Lobster!

The rest of you can enjoy your $600 Radiator made in the USA! Hope you all sleep better at night!

I think you did misunderstand what I said, or I didn't say it right. We did not use china cores for three years but rather it took up to three years for the cores to fail. We used multiple suppliers before 2007 only a few came from china. If you got 10 years on your radiator I'd say that's pretty good. You must be doing all the proper fluid changes and such.

I didn't see that thread but did he mention he asked us for a custom size radiator? Probably not. Did he mention that we paid for the freight both ways to solve the problem for him? Probably not.
And he said he sent it next day air and it didn't show up today, found out he sent it 2nd day air.

I don't have an argument with your purchase but if you're putting such low miles on your car then why do you need a new rad?

A company of such stature should have no pronlem going custom. Hence my reason for saying when asked to go out of the normal, seems like it's to complicated to complete accurately. And yes I would expect the company to pay freight both ways, that's customer service, not going above and beyond either. Just standard proceedure for an internal company error.

I think most people would fall over dead if they knew all the parts and components that come from over-seas...

Cheaper in cost yes!

They are both of the same dimensions

They both have 2 rows of 1 inch coils

They both will cool a motor better than stock

You must have a DeWitts Radiator!

And the best your going to do is pay for shipping for all his troubles!

WOW, You guys went over the top on this one, you should all pat yourselves on the back for such great customer service!

I think I may just change my mind and order one of your Fantastic Radiators that come with such awesome customer service. It's amazing that you can stay in business to offer such great things to your customers!

but they both don't come with the same warranty

Ok, I don't want to get this thread off track but with you posting how much HP and how hard you drive your car I got to ask you.

Did you cut corners on all your mods to get your car to 600 hp?

And with such a big investment why would you go through all the trouble of building a high HP beast and cut corners on cooling it?

I am not cutting corners, I am putting in a new radiator that will be better than stock and I'm saving over $300, plain and simple

I'd say just because its cheaper than norm, doesn't mean it's gonna blow on him. And the only reason any of these radiators cool better is because they are dimensionally bigger. So yea Dewitts better cool it better it's in the design, same as the china one

Tom

Blitzkrieg seems to be doing this alot. I think what you are doing is pretty cool. I dont see other big names coming on these forums and informing the masses about cheap products. They count there sales and move on. I look forward to your review. Mistakes happen and no one is perfect Blitzkrieg. Hell you even bitched about a pretty dam good tuner and Doug even said the guy was a good tuner.
