I might go look at a 2004 Z06 Commemorative. Is there any special numbers to Vin or anywhere to identify as authentic Z16 car?

Check out z16.org for all the information you'll ever need regarding a Commemorative Edition Z06. They have a VIN looker upper link where you can enter the last six digits of the VIN to determine the production number of the car out of 2,025 produced.
The seller may have kept the window sticker and/or the Z16 dealer packet/CD which would lend credence to the authenticity.
Otherwise, the car will have a carbon fiber hood, Commemorative Edition LeMans Blue paint, the proprietary vinyl stripes, and Commemorative Edition emblems on the front and rear. The Z16 was the only Z06 to come with polished wheels/center caps.
If the seller will let you remove the front fascia, you should find the build sheet hidden within the horizontal front bumper.

I'm also looking at one. Through the help of the Z16.org site i was able to find out the order or number of the car. Even the dealer did not know how to find this info. Love those cars!
