The intake is a heat blanket, will slow you down after it get warmed up. The T.B. also not big enough to make a diff at all for the cost.. On a pos/side parts looks good on the car are diff anyway. I dont want to say on the headers... Robert
At one point I had BBK Shorties. I was real happy with them. I also have a BBK TB. Had to do a major port and polish job on it as it has a pretty nice lip on it. All in all, they make a nice product!
I installed the BBK shorties also just for looks and I didn't want to change the cats. I wasn't looking for HP just something that looked better than the rusty stock exhaust.
My car is a BBK poster child, unfortunately I bought it that way so I can't really tell you how they improved things.
BBK shorty headers, intake manifold, throttle body, and CAI.
I will say that I think a lot of people are blowing hot air when they bash the intake manifold (pun intended). Air doesn't really have enough time to pick up any significant heat while it's inside the manifold, generally going over 100 ft/s.
