I have a 2006 z06 with 29000 miles i purchased car second hand. I need to change front pads, rotors seem ok. There is a slight lip on the rotor on the outside diameter, should i get that turned or let it be?

If the rotor runs true (no vibration under braking) and the remaining thickness is above the service limit you can just replace the pads. The rotor's minimum allowable thickness is stamped in the inside surface of the rotor's hat.
