Question about splash guards

Just wanted to know how many of you guys color match your splash guards. I'm about purchase some and I'm debating weather to paint or not. Any pics would be helpfull. Thanks

I've never color matched mine. I currently have a set from RPI Designs on my '03 and they are pretty small so not too noticable on the car.

I prefer the black also as they blend in with the tire and and other wheel areas better. I use the Altec from MidAmerica. I like them and they have done a great job of protecting the paint but the front ones are pretty low and I get a lot of dragging on speed bumps, dips etc. I've had to replace the fronts several times because of it.

Here is a second pic from a distance. They are harder to see which is why I like the black. It does not change of contour of the car.

I've only got them on the rear & left them black. IMO, if you paint the guards you may have to deal w/paints chips on the guards.

Yep keep a touch up paint pen handy if you paint them.

I used the C6 Z06 on my vert and left them black-did not want to have to touch them up.

I painted mine. They have been istalled for many years and have never been chipped. The part of the guard that faces the tire and gets the rocks, is not painted. I like my guards and have never had chips on my outside mirrors or rear quarter panels. Get 'em and paint 'em.

Black! They won't show the chips. Check out Apsis web site their splash guards don't look like mud flaps. They resemble the ZR1 look. Warning though they are not cheap.
