Default trutorq cams

What does everyone think of the trutorq cams. They dont seem to be as popular here since a search doesnt seem to come up with pages and pages like some of the other cams do. How would say the level 3, 223/236 .612/.610 115LSA compare to a TSP 228R on a daily driver. going on a 00 LS1/mn6 with 243 heads, headers and ls6 intake, a little less duration on the intake, more on the exhaust and a lot more lift. i dont know how to look at the specs of a cam and estimate performance. I do want off idle performance though and the trutorq claims it has that.

I watched and waited for replies, before shooting my mouth off. Didn't do anygood, so here is my opinion. Why go with a little cam that isn't gonna much? You want power in the mid to upper RPM range where your engine makes the most power.

Never heard of trutroq but that's just me.

no but i do a lot of off idle driving and i dont want to have to redline it to find any power.

the level 3 is bigger than the 228R and I have seen dyno charts of 430+ hp so how is that considered a little cam?

ever been to the thunderracing webpage?
first group on the list.

I would think you wanted power in whatever rpm range you spent your time in. I have owned the C5 for a year and not once have I seen a need nor had a chance to hit higher than 5K or higher. Traffic is too tight and I dont drive that much so why buy a cam that builds power in a rpm range that will rarely be seen.

My mistake, I spend my time running in the 5000rpm range frequently. I don't do any off-idle racing, and drive everyday.

Never been to thunderracing....first I've heard of them.
