Corvette value
Its a 1998 Sebring silver automatic convertible, 80k miles, Borla quad tip exhaust, chrome wagon wheels. I'm not sure if it's z51, but I doubt it. The interior and exterior are both 9/10. I've driven this corvette before, and it is in excellent condition.
I have been looking for a corvette for awhile and was also wondering if I should buy this one when the time comes. Like I said earlier he would likely give me a good deal on it, but its not what I'm looking for. I'm not a fan of the color, don't want automatic, and would rather have a coup or frc. My budget is a bit tight for buying a vette, so a good deal would be hard for me to pass up despite it not having all the options that I want.
So how much does the forum think it is worth? Is it worth it to buy this vette for a great price or should I get one later on that may cost more and not be in as nice a condition?
These are the only pics I have of it
, but better than nothing. Just trust me when I say its in really good condition.
Always buy the color YOU want, not something that just ok.
You want a car that a year from now when you see it, you will say "that a good looking Vette" not I wish I had waited
When I started looking, which is a lot of fun, make a list and stick to it

Is a buyers market and now is a good time to start looking
Go drive a bunch of C5's and when you find the right one you will know it
I'm still curious about what CF thinks he could get for it. Based on what I've seen somewhere between 14-17k.

On the other hand you say you can't afford the one you want.
If you can get this for $10K-$12K I'd say go for it. It will have enough value in it for you to trade out to another one (that is perfect) later.
I don't recommend "settling" often. You just seem to not be in a position to get what you'd really like, and I hate to see you wait forever.

This is Gospel, I bought my 2003 50th anniversary coupe I fell in love with it. Even now close to ten years ago, but every-time I get in it and start it up, it's 2003 all over again. It is a buyers market, and with some searching, you'll find something closer to your needs. Just make sure it's solid buy and not abused.
Car is basically as clean as it was when I took delivery but I did add 2000 wheels and some SLP bolt on stuff...
Only reason I was interested in selling/trading it was that my legs are giving me major problems and I honestly am having a hard time using the clutch...
I'd love to trade it for an automatic (which I never would have considered owning 2 years ago)
