1999 Over flow tank (coolent tank)
Hey guys, anyone know if a 2000 radiator overflow tank will fit a 1999 C5. I found a cracked inlet tube, leaking. Went to Ebay and ordered a C5 tank, only to find out after I ordered it, it stated 200o to 2004 tank. I looked at my tank and the photo looks the same, so does anyone know if they changed the design fro 1999 to 2000 on the overflow tank?? thanks guys..

8VETTE7, thanks I did not know that. I sent a question to the seller of my mistake, and to see if they have a 1999 instead of the 2000 tank. I appreciate your fast response.. thanks.

I got a 1998 Tank for about $80. I tried to patch mine, but patches don't hold.
I would get the correct tank, as I just recently had a coolant leak, which I discovered after the low coolant warning came on the second time. It is an important warning.

Guys thanks, called "Corvette Central" and I was able to cancel the incorrect 2000-2004 tank and re-order a 1999 tank. But out of stock till Nov. 29th. So I cleaned out the broken nipple and used "Perma Poxy" a 5 minute poxy that is strong and can handle the temp plus pressure. I'm letting it cure for 12 hours before testing it. I got a ride in Nov. 4. The inlet nipple to the tank has a brass tube 5" long inside the nipple so the tank is built strong, the epoxy is already rock hard and the bond looks good. My concerns is pressure and heat but it's just the inlet so it should hold.. Thanks for all of your help guys. Why I love this forum.
