Default Suspension upgrades done today

to my 2003 Z.

I did the C6 Z06 shocks and C6 Z51 sway bars with poly Pfadt bushings and new endlinks.

All I can say is wow, it made a huge difference. Seems like my ride height has been raised. I have a 1000 mile road trip coming up so I'll lower the car after returning (with a few thousand more miles) and then get an alignment.

The stock suspension had about 60k on them, bought the shocks with 16k miles and the sways were new, guy I bought them from never installed them.

Sway bars were really easy to install. As a tip, I would install the endlinks on the bar before attaching them to the frame, just made things easier.

The shocks were a PITA, compressing the shocks and then zip tying them helped both on removal and install. Just use another jack to jack up the wheel assembly and that will compress the shock some.

I can noticeably take corners faster now. Before, I had to take them somewhat slower but now I can take them to the point where stuff that isn't tied down is going to roll around. Also, I don't get any more clunking sound. Seems to have also reduced road noise somehow but I don't know how. Rough patches of road are taken much easier now, the ride is smoother.

Now I honestly must say that I'm not sure if this is because they're C6 Z06 shocks or if it's because the old shocks were 60k worn. It's probably both. The C6 Z51 sway bars are definitely much beefier than the C5 Z06 sway bars.

I can't wait to order my set of shocks and sways to get ready for a track day. Glad to hear you like them.
