Intake problem
My 01 z06 had the Haltech Tric/Mag. intake system on it. (an older system that is no longer made.) for a number of years. That intake went down below the radiator shroud and used a "MAGIC BOX" that was spliced in before the MAF. well that Magic box got wet a few weeks ago and stopped working, so the car would hardly run.
After removing the pipe that goes under the shroud I converted it into a short ram intake and removed that magic box. so the intake is simply the Carbon fiber air bridge to the MAF, to the filter. problem is the filter doesn't fit snugly around the MAF housing because it was meant to go on the larger diameter metal pipe that went below the shroud.
I need a replacement filter that is meant to fit the factory MAF housing and ALSO has the hole for the A.I.R system as I don't wish to remove that system. Im wondering which filter would work to fix this problem. thanks for any help!
