I have a 2004 Z06 without the memory package. I don't care much about the climate control memory (if that makes any difference), but I would like to have memory seats and side mirrors. How hard is it to add the memory package to a non-memory car? I have found a memory control panel for the door, but I suspect the memory chip and software reside elsewhere and must be bought and installed separately.
Upon looking at the brochure, you are correct.
The memory package was an option along which were...
body side mouldings, electrochromic mirrors,& front license plate frame.
I would suggest checking with a forum Corvette Recyler, to assist in obtaining the proper parts to get you where you want to be in regards to the memmory option.
Good luck.

WOW!!!
It must be pretty rare not to have the memory option. I looked at probably 30 cars in a 2yr period and don't recall ever seeing one without.
