Default Bad window module

Got tired of banging on the passenger door all summer to get the window unstuck, and when that didn't work anymore I finally tore the door apart. I rapped on the module itself and of course the window works for now. Is there a specific part in this window module that goes bad, or can it be a grocery list of problems? I would think that there is a weak spot in there somewhere, because this is a pretty common problem. Has anybody tore one of these things apart and fixed it?

Hey Chris, What door is it? I have an extra window regulator and motor for the drivers side you can try if needed.

The very best thread on DCM repair was written by Bakersfield. Didn't readily find it but found this substitute: http://www.ronjpics.com/Corvettestuff.htm#DCM

The window up/down relay is the larger one in the middle of the board and it's the most likely problem if the fault is in the DCM.

There is a wire that goes into the harness that comes loose so the spade connector no longer makes contact. Bend it back into place. I believe it's either the power or ground - one of the big ones. It will be obvious if it's loose and not making contact. Just bend the metal outwards so there is resistance when you slide it in and make sure the metal is contacting.
