I installed a set up from one of the forum suppliers to run my Iphone through the radio. It plugged into the connection for the CD player and the cord was ran to the front for the Iphone.
I didn't disconnect the battery when I did the installation, I just unplugged the connector at the CD player (in the back) and plugged in the connector for the Iphone. Strange thing about it, once the installation was complete and checked out fine, my key fob didn't work and I had to reprogram it, keeping in mind that I didn't disconnect the battery.
Now every few days (going on for about 10 days), the key fob doesn't work and I have to reprogram it, works for a day or two then needs reprogramming again. Replaced the battery and it still needs reprogramming every couple of days.
Is my key fob going bad and it's just a coincidence that it occurred after the Iphone cord installation or is the installation of the Iphone cord causing the problem?
Probably did this but did you put a new bat. in the fob?

probably just a coincidence. Mine does that as well. if I drive it everyday or every couple days it's fine. But if I let it sit I have to reprogram. it's a pain but at least I can get it to work.
