It might be a simple fix but I'm not mechanically inclined. I have a 2004 Z06. My horn stopped working, the fuse was blown and easy to remove. When I put the new fuse in, the horn started blowing immediatley. I pulled the fuse back out and turn off the alarm system. I put the fuse back in and the horn started again. I pulled the fuse again and this time I applied pressure to horn button on the column, I could here the switch clicking so I assumed it was working. I put the fuse back in and it was fine. I then closed the hood and the horn starting blowing again. I hit the horn switch a couple times and it was fine. Do I need to replace the horn switch? Any ideas?
I did mine. Easy to do. I did lose my torx bit inside the steering wheel prior to its removal which was highly frustrating. Went to autozone and picked up a torx set that was self contained like a swiss army knife. Much easier that fighting with a bit.
