Default First Run

Made my first trip along the road that will become my daily commute this morning, with my wife riding shotgun. It is a 50 mile stretch of road between Yardley and Easton PA running along the Delaware River. I knew I had made the right choice for a commuter car when I saw tons of sports cars doing leisure drives on the same route (RT 32 & RT 611). I exchanged waves with a C1 owner, 3 C4 owners, and a black and a silver C5, so if any of those beauties belong to you guys, thanks for welcoming a newbie to the club (especially the C1 owner; I'm ashamed to admit I didn't recognize it as a vette at first). Also, if any of you owns the yellow 360 Modina that gave me the thumbs up near Bowman's wildflower preserve as you passed, you made my week, and I'm jealous of your beautiful super car (but not much).

Hit 60 degrees along the river today too... we jacked the heat and took the top off. Half a tank of premium gone in 2 days. Man I love this car.

Glad you're enjoying the car. Get all the seat time in you can - and hope you have something else to drive when the weather gets bad.

Yes, right now. My wife is a high school teacher, and after teaching in Philadelphia for three years, finally got a job in one of the best school districts in Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, I got a job 50 miles north of there that I had wanted for a long time. Come December, we'll be able to move to a place half way between the two and split the difference, but right now, I'm driving 1.5 hours to work, she's driving 9 minutes.

Not that I mind though.

I drive 60 miles each way every day too but my ride is the NJ Turnpike. I'm wearing out my 5th and 6th gears and tires.

Route 32 is a very pretty road.

For a break try 29 on the Jersey side. (wider, smoother)
