Input on best exhaust
I just bought a 2004 Z06 and wondering if anyone has any input on the best aftermarket exhaust to put on the car. The car is completely stock.

Guessing you would get better results in the C6 section...

You will get tons of suggestions.
What do you like in your exhuast?
I personally like mine loud. I have B&B bullets and love them.

Uh, a 2004 is a C5.
I've had both the B&B Route 66 system and now a Corsa Indy Pace Car and I really like the Corsa. No drone or popping and the sound is incredible.

Well what are you looking for? Just noise or performance? If you want performance then you are going to want to get headers which will also increase the noise output at the same time while a cat back system will not provide much on the performance side at all.

What a noob.
Loved my Borla Stingers, but they do drone on the freeway. Still thinking about putting them on my 402 FRC just because they sound soooo good on startup and at WOT.

Im guessing there was a typo as the op edited his post right after the C^ section comment was posted, just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I like the Corsa Pace Car system myself. But I would say that this is the most discussed subject ever on this forum.

I'd go to a cruise night or local Corvette show and listen to as many exhausts as possible. Settle on one and then search the vendors here on CF for the best price. Bill

I picked B&B Bullets and love them. There is a lot of nice systems on the market though!

There really is no "BEST"
It depends upon what you want.
YouTube has plenty of sample vids but it's not the same as hearing live AND what they sound like from the cabin.
I loved my Flowmasters but they fell apart inside. I like my NXT Step but it's just "different" than other systems.
Take all the advice you get here with the idea that you may not agree with the evaluation once YOU experience it.
It's a crapshoot in the end, but these folks here will try to steer you right concerning external vs. internal noise levels.
Make your choice and live with it until you can afford to change it again.

Borla's for me too but I've never heard any others apart from on youtube etc.
You could always buy the loudest available and if it ends up being too loud you can then add insulation or grow hair over your ears.
