Here is a a few pics of my 04 c5 convertible. I just bought it last week and was told that the rims are "Z06 Black Chrome". I absolutely love the look, so sharp and unique.
Here is my problem, two of the plastic center covers are peeling and one of the rear wheels has some corrosion on two spots on the outer rim, maybe curb rash, but doesn't look so bad. That is why I really love this color, you can't see the blemishes unless you are really close, even the pealing plastic. WHY do they make the center caps plastic anyways? That amount of money for awesome wheels and the center caps are plastic?
Does anyone know what type of wheels these are and where I can order another wheel and a couple of center caps? Can the center caps be powder coated with black chrome if they are plastic?
Those look like the Ace Slick wheels in hyper black finish. Corvette Garage used to sell them and may still - worth checking out.
The hyperblack finish that ace offers seems more like a dull silver then the ones pictured. Also the center caps on the ace slicks are styled like the c5. Looks more like a C6Z06 replica done in a true black chrome finish.
Honestly when I get around to changing tires though I'm definitely going to look into getting my ace slicks refinished in a black chrome
