Default sirius connection on a 2000 vert.

Nothing is as easy as it seems! I have my radio on my 2000 vette out and trying to figure out how to hook up the wire that goes from sirius to my radio. aux in cable they say just plugs in. I can't see anywhere to plug it in. Help please as I have this all apart. This is in the radio section also. Just need a fast answer.thanks

Some of the info here might help you.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...on-option.html

Are you trying to hook sirius to a stock head unit that has a cassette player?

I just have the radio with a cd in the face. Your dealing with someone with little know how. I remove the radio and see all wires going in and the antenna wire. Do I have to remove some wire's. I am checking the site from torch red but could use pictures because I don't know one wire from another.

I'm no expert either.

Some people use this inline with the antenna.

There might be a connector in the passenger footwell that goes to the rear CD changer you can use.

I think your best bet would be to call this number and just ask.

I believe you will need to install the "Chevy XM5-GM10" adapter. They have them here. http://www.tss-radio.com/chevy-xm5gm10-p-3724.html

Or even better yet, Maybe Dennis at DDMods has them. He is the best and very helpful.

I must say, This place is like a brotherhood. You have a problem and people just help. Within minites I had help with my problem and didn't know where to turn. Read audio forum and all the rest. I just didn't understand the answers. I called Dennis like the members said and he explain in detail what I needed to do. He said any question I needed to know he would explain and he did so even I could understand. Best part is he's already sent the part. Just love this place to communicate with fellow members. Thank's again, Frank
