Today when I started the car the voltages shot up to 15.5 and the ABS, AH, TCS all said they needed to be serviced. I had the starter change a couple months ago when I was getting weird voltage readings but they were low and not this high. Any advice on what this could be?

Doesn't the alternator have some kind of voltage regulator built in? A multimeter check at the alternator would show how much voltage its putting out.
Hmmmm I don't remember. I'll have to look it up. Just a few minutes ago the DIC showed a spike to 18 then everything but the ignition system shut off. Scared me a bit since it was dark.
No battery was good. Had the alternator tested today and the output voltage averaged 15.25 but was spiking as well on the machine. The best of all this is not a single parts store has an alternator near me. I have to wait three days to order one. This makes me so happy......

Hey, at least you diagnosed the problem quickly and easily.
Intersteing side effect of the high voltage...that it would disrupt the EBCM (causing ABS/TC/AH lights to come on). This further confirms a suspicion I've had with respect to a problematic yet intermitent EBCM on my car. When my old battery was nearing the end of its life, even with a tender, the EBCM would throw a code and trigger the service lights. I replaced the battery and the problem went away within a couple days of stop and go driving. The car isn't a DD, so during the week it sits conected to a tender...sure enough, as soon as I start the car after sitting all week, the EBCM throws a code. Now if I don't leave the car on the tender all week while it sits, and start the car several days later...no codes, no warning lights, nothing. It obviously responds negatively to high and low voltage conditions.
I'm eventually just going to pull the EBCM and send it out to have rebuilt by replacing the relay inside...but for now I just deal with the issue.

Yeah I was happy I figured it out, but I wish I could have gotten a new one so I could at least enjoy the damn car lol. It still might be a couple weeks before I get it fixed since I am going to be away for a couple weeks now.

Thanks Micah. you don't happen to know anyone that has a spare alternator laying around do you lol?
Nope, but you can try that place right off of North Nimitz about two blocks passed Sand Island Access Road, they are privately owned and operated and he may have a rebuilt one laying around.

Well I was wrong about the alternator. Got the new one in today and same ****. Didn't even get a quarter mile down the road before I got the high voltage fault again. Could something have happen when the new starter got out in that could be causing this or am I missing something?

Look up forum member Bill Curlee and shoot him a PM...he's very savvy when it comes to electrical issues, and extremely helpful.
