Default Header's Question....

I was wondering what people were running and what would you guys suggest... Ive have been researching headers for my C5Z and im torn between what sizes would really be the best for my car.. I plan on doing a cam and a fast intake setup sometime in the future and Im trying to decide between 1 3/4 x 2.5in, 1 3/4 x 3in, 1 7/8 x 2.5in or 1 7/8 x 3in... Just trying to get the most out of it, I currently just have a CAI & Borla Straight pipes and I put down 363/364... Thanks guys...

If you are not planning on F I or a stroker motor in the future the 1-3/4"
x3" will be fine. If you are planning to go bigger in the future then by all means get the 1-7/8" x3" set-up. ARH, Kooks, Dynatech, Melrose and Stainless Works are all very high quality units and are all mede in the USA. Hope this helps.

I agree 1 3/4 x3 would most likely be the best choice---I would recc. getting a "true X pipe" while you are re-fitting your exhaust--another possible 3-5 RWHP and easy to install while exh. is out---It also gives your car more of a race car sound rather than the overdone flowmaster rumble----

PS: If you are serious---You absolutely have it re-tuned--In order to get ALL the benefits of the LT's--I have seen some cars actually make LESS RWHP or very little until they're tuned---

Thanks guys. I know all about getting it tuned and what not. I had a cammed , full exhaust Bolton GTO before this with 1 3/4 x 2.5in exhaust setup. Just wasn't really sure if there was a big difference between all the sizes. I don't wanna go too big where it's unnecessary and I lose torque and I don't wanna go too small where the motor is choking up.
