All front turn signal/running lights functional, but left turn signal blinks really fast.. about 2-3 times normal speed.

Usually a sign that the blinker filament in either the front or rear (left) directional is burnt out. But if you say that directionals are working, could be the flasher.

the turn signal/drl is a dual filament bulb, the turn signal filament is probably burned out. I'd pull the bulb and check it.

Just had the right light compartment replaced earlier that day because running light had a hole burnt into it which was blowing the right turn signal. This caused the right signal to blink rapidly, also had the flasher replaced. They tell me this is common.Coincidence?

Check your rear lights also - if one of them is burned out, the turn signal will flash fast. Or you could have the left side front bulb burned out too.
