I was trying to change my single springs for double springs, well the compressor I have will work for the singles, but it won't work on the double springs as the tangs are not long enough to grab both springs,it works for a bit, then you I really need to crank em down to get the locks on,the inner spring shoots out, any ideas on this would be helpful.
I'm curious how the inner spring can even soot out? Since you are pressing both of them down with the retainer plate on top.
when you grab the bottom of the spring, the tangs are not long enough to grab the inner spring, and of course the top is held in,when you start to tighten, the outer spring comresses past the inner spring, therefore it won't compress enough to the the locks on.
