Default caliper washer missing

I had brakes put on my C5 vert and the caliper broke loose due to the mechanic forgetting to torque the bolts. ( Nearly killed me) my problem is the washer for the front caliper bolts, we have the original three but the forth was lost when the bolt came out of the caliper. No local dealers have this washer, not one single dealer carries the part. It was finally allegedly shipped from Detroit over a week ago. No show any one got an idea where I might get a new washer???

You could see if Gene at gmpartshouse.com has one.

Just what bolt fell out?

The large (about 14mm dia by about 50mm long) bolt that holds the caliper mounting bracket onto the spindle ? (Two per wheel)

Like this?

If so, go to Lowe's or any real hardware store and buy a couple of grade 8 flat washers that fit.

Use one or both depending on how thick you need.

I can't imagine there is anything magical about the GM flat washer.

FSM says not to reuse those bolts, and they require lock-tite besides proper torque. In fact most brake kits come with new bolts pre-coated.

AC-Delco kit:

that's why I had a loose one laying around

I did reuse several times (track weekends use up rotors/pads) but felt guilty and replaced the bolts when I installed a Wilwood kit

and if you do reuse them, clean the bolts good and use the lower strength blue locktite and torque to 125 ft lbs

The 125 lb-ft I believe is for the caliper mounting bracket bolts, not the caliper guide pin bolts. Off the top if my head I don't recall the torque on them but it's like 34 Nm.
