i bought my first vette in sept a red 89. i bought my wife a 93 blk rose in oct, both nice cars. i took delivery on an 03 50th vert 6 spd tonight. Nice improvements thru the years. i havent even seen the 03 in the daylight as i bought it from out of state and had it delivered. i am well pleased. the drivers seat seems a little "flat" or hard as if the cushion is worn. has anybody else had this issue? yes, i will load pictures on some point!

Congrats and yes, the C5 will prove to be a noticably better overall car than your C4s. If the car has a lot of miles on it, then the seat foam may need replacement. It does tend to get compressed over time and usage.

Maybe the previous owner was "rather large" thus the flat seat!
thanks for all the comments. i will need to repair the seat and the trunk supports and drive it till the wheels come off, "laughing all the way". this will make someone a great parts car 10 yrs from now!!
Congrats too... my driver side is flat and the won't hold air so may need to replace the air bags inside or maybe just have more foam inserted and for get the lumbar thing. Don't for get to check to see if the shock stuffers were removed (search "shock stuffers" and read up. Mine had 28000 miles on it when I found mine, makes a big difference in the ride...huge. Good luck

There is a quick bandaid to try before replacing the foam seat base cushion. Remove the seat and turn it upside down. If the wire foam supports across the bottom have cut through the foam, try slipping in a semi-rigid plastic sheet to keep the foam over the wires instead of in them.
On a black interior 99 I purchased out of Las vegas, the dessert heat messed up the leather and foam a lot. I ended up replacing the foam and all the leather. The interior turned out looking brand new. I also had him supply me a new leather brake boot and shift boot.
A small company on ebay going by the handle leather-seats sells new leather seat skins for $350 if you ask for a special price. He charged me $50 more for the CORVETTE embroidry and also added emblems in the head rests. A/E shale color and embroidery will likely be hard for him to get right. So if you are particular, you might decline, especially the 50TH embroidry.
I had to ship him one "CORVETTE" inset which he shipped to China for his factory to duplicate accurately. I ended up getting everything back just fine. I could email you pics if desired.
