Default Vararam Is In!

Took me about 4 hours to get install my Vararam and air bridge this morning, including a break. No issues to speak of other than the not quite perfect fit where the intakes meet up with the bumper and fog lights, something I can fiddle with later. It's not a horrible fit but it's not perfect but I was expecting worse from other threads I had read about fitment of this system. The biggest pain of the whole installation was the figuring out how the air bridge, MAF and couplings need to be situated in order for it all to fit but got it done just fine.

After letting it idle for the suggested five minutes I headed out for a little drive. Towards the end of the drive I had the chance to get on the throttle a bit, WOW I didn't realize it would make that much of a difference! I'm really looking forward to my Kooks getting delivered now, that'll be a nice combo for sure!

All in all I'm very happy with the product, the car idles and drives as if it were stock. Please let me know if there are any questions!

I sold my vr1 recently, been out since some work done in 06, since I was never going to put it back in. nothing wrong with it, worked great, but in west Texas to much dirt so decided to part with it. Still can easily convert to zip-tie mod on air filter if needed for more power. they are great and if I lived in less dusty environment would have kept it. just me, many others have and enjoy.

Congratulations! I felt the same "***-dyno" experience. I was amazed at the sound of big air being sucking in and the increased pull you feel.

Wish you the best of luck with it. Yesterday here I read what I think is the twelfth horror story about a heavy rain, and the Hydro-locked engine with a big 3" hole in it's side this year alone.

Thanks! I have the same combo sitting in boxes. I haven't installed them yet because I read (on here) about folks getting codes after installing that setup on a Z06 (without a tune)!
