Im sure theres a beater civic somewhere thats good enough for just when it rains
(Not poking you, I smoke too, so I understand about the window, although I dont drive the vette in bad weather).
Take a look at whatever they have in the autoparts store (carry different sizes out to the car) and see what approximates the curve. Maybe can do something with magnetic tape to attach temporarily ? (although I think the frame along the roof there may be aluminum).
Or it depends on how desperate you are and how long the trip is. You may even be able to fabricate something out of a side vent that you just hold up in the channel on top and close the window on it (you would add two small pieces to each end so the window stops but a space is left). Would be a pain, but if you had an hour commute each day, it would work on the rainy days.
hey Jistari, at least you relize why i want to open the window. commute is 1 hour each way. cant stand small under powered cars and wont own it if it aint made in usa. i have a couple sets of visors and tried what you are thinking. the rear window one for a suburban is real close. oh yeah i am in pacific northwest (pdx) and if i dont drive her in the rain that would only let me drive it like twice a year lol.
Quit smoking......problem solved, and puts more money in your pocket for Vette upgrades!
Looking back 12 years ago when I used to smoke....I worried at times when the ember feel off and would burn holes in my carpet or where ever it fell to.
Glad I had my heart attack to get me to quit! Best thing to ever happen to me.

Musky my commute is a half hour every day & my C5 is a daily driver too. I also use my car as my office as I work outside so on days when there are thunderstorms the weatherstripping likes to leak and I too am looking for a better solution than having to replace the weatherstripping every few months.
I'm not looking for some crappy beater car to drive. If you find a solution let me know.
