Drove down to the "Jersey shore" this morning. There was a lot of fog on the way down, so I used my headlights and fog lights.

As they popped up I thought: These pop up headlights sure are an integral part of a corvette. I actually liked the way they looked popped up.

Am I the only one who appreciates the pop up headlights?

I like hidden headlights. I think it's one of many things that make the C5 cool.

I dont really care for the look when they are up but it is well worth the sleek look when they are down. Plus your lenses dont get messed up and foggy like other cars.

I like them! Might upgrade to HID's, but always pop-ups.

I really don't care for pop ups. Lots of extra machinery and weight for little gain.
The C6's lights are way cool and a good compromise for the 'lights on all time' crowd.

I'm not a big fan of the functionality but love the look - I see myself going to the JWM lower opening version when they get done, both for looks and better lighting

No, you're not alone. All 9 of my Vettes have had pop-up headlights - at this point can't imagine having one without them.

I like the pop ups.......it's one of the reasons I didn't consider a C6. C6s have fly eyes, they are uuuggggly.

love the pop ups. It is pure Corvette and it is one of the things that makes Corvettes stand out. I don't care about weight or functionality or anything else except that it is Corvette. Maybe I am an old fart traditionalist but there is nothing sexier than a C5, period. The C6 is just so much like so many other entries and it just seems something is missing on the front.

NOPE! In fact my wife and I attended a club dinner recently and as our friends exited the parking lot, she noticed the C6's lights and told me she likes ours better.
btw, I changed my low beams to HID's under Toque's tutelage. They work great(much better than stock) and I haven't been flashed once.

How does one agree with every post on a thread??

100%

Pop-ups.

And it doesn't stop there. I'm a fan of many other models that sported hide-a-ways; Cords, Camaro RS, Roadrunner Daytona, Riviera, Gran Prix, etc, etc, etc...

It's sorta an infatuation.

Nobody seems to remember,,that the first 10 years of Corvettes did NOT have pop ups(or roll overs in the case of the C2's)!! I do prefer the look of them down,,I don't mind them up,but not wild about them. Bottom I DO love my FRC,,nothing else looks like it and ya gotta love that!!

At night your C5 looks so evil, wicked, nasty, sweet with the lights on that it a non issue. I'm with the traditional crowd, it's part of the heritage(don't ask me about fixing C3 vacuum issues)
