Default Tie Rod Replacement

Hey all,
I have an 04 manual 6 speed that went to the shop for an alignment after getting new tires. The shop tells me that really what I need first is to replace both inner and outer tie rods on the right side and the inner tie rod on the left side. Is this reasonable with 60K miles on the car? He showed me what appeared to be excessive play on the "bushing" of the right outer tie rod for lack of a better word, and I felt some grating on the inner tie rod when he pushed the right wheel back and forth. Lastly, there was some rust around the bottom seam of the circular connection between inner and outer tie rods. Does any of this indicate that I need to replace the equipment or does it sound normal? Your thoughts please!

I have 2004 Z06 with 64 K miles and just replaced the tie rod ends, lower ball joints and control arm bushings, then had it re-aligned. (Find a shop with a pit - ramps dont work on a lowered one)

This seems to have tightened up the handling and alignment.

I got the parts from Ecklers (aftermarket) and the tie rod ends and ball joints are both greasable, but the threaded part on the tie rod ends and longer than stock, so maxed out the toe setting on alignment - but - is within spec.

Also went with new sway bar and shocks.
